Field Care
There are some very important steps you need to take to properly care for your game if it is going to be mounted.
1. When skinning your animal, make sure you leave enough skin to do the desired mount.
2. If doing a shoulder mount, make sure you skin from BEHIND the front shoulders. Never cut past the rib cage when cleaning your animal.
3. On small game, do not gut the animal ... Just put it in a plastic bag and freeze.
4. Fish - you want to do the same as small game but wrap in a wet towel first.
* All game should be skinned and frozen as soon as possible to ensure you do not loose any hair and so that rot
does not set in.
Shipping
Wrap your game or fish in thick plastic and using regular house insulation, it wrap very well. Then put another thick plastic bag over that, seal it tightly. Now it is ready to ship.
